All chrome-plated effepi products are covered by a 10-year warranty from the date of purchase.
Non-chrome surfaces are covered by a 2-year warranty.

Any color variations on non-chrome surfaces are not considered defects, but rather unique characteristics of the product.

The Story


Effepi’s history dates back to the postwar period in the area around Lumezzane, a heavily industrialized district shaped by centuries of hard work and specialized skills, where work culture has always played a primary role, and where people have focused on developing industrial activities to compensate for a natural environment that is not particularly bountiful and often inhospitable. A constant pursuit of improved quality standards, along with local businesses’ desire to be the driving force behind developments—to be at the center of the action in order to achieve innovation and prosperity—has made this area an internationally recognized industrial and commercial hub, an indisputable symbol of quality and stability.

Effepi was founded in the heart of this district in 1949 by Faustino Pintossi, who started the business together with his four sons; production operations were led by the latter following their father’s untimely death. Effepi has its headquarters in the original offices of the former Bernocchi cotton mill, one of Lombardy’s leading examples of 19th-century industrial architecture. The economic boom of those years facilitated the consolidation of affiliated companies led by the family, which moved the foundry to Tiarno in the province of Trento and the production of siphons and drain outlets first to Casto in Vallesabbia and later to Lodrino in Valtrompia. Over the years, these production units were merged and integrated into what is now the Effepi factory.
